Maxxis is all-in on gravel for 2025 with a complete refresh across the range. Highlights include a new casing and gravel-specific HYPR-X compound.

New HYPR-X Compound
HYPR-X is the culmination of Maxxis’ rubber compound development, combining the best elements of our HYPR road and MaxxSpeed mountain compounds. Compared to the outgoing dual-rubber compound, HYPR-X reduces rolling resistance by 25%* and improves cornering traction by 19%.
Not All Nylon Is Equal
A seemingly small but significant change is
the use of a different source for the 120 TPI
casing. The tougher new nylon greatly improves
puncture protection in the tread area without
negatively impacting ride feel or adding weight.
All specs feature our legendary EXO Protection
in the sidewall to resist cuts and abrasions. And,
of course, all specs are tubeless ready.
The entire Maxxis gravel range will be updated
over the course of 2025:
• Receptor: all-road, dirt and hard-packed
gravel
• Reaver: semi-slick for gravel racing
• Rambler: do-it-all gravel use
• Ravager: deep or loose gravel
Features:
• New HYPR-X compound
• New 120 TPI nylon casing
• EXO sidewall protection
• Tubeless ready
• Tan wall options available
New Hot Patch And Packaging
The refreshed gravel range uses Maxxis’ updated branding on the sidewall. The subtle new hot patches are primarily gray with just a pop of orange - a sharp look for any gravel build. In addition, all new gravel specs will ship in Maxxis’ updated paper packaging as part of the company’s commitment to reducing plastic waste.
